On the last day of ServDes conference twenty people had a opportunity to get to know our service prototyping environment – SINCO. Good ideation skills, ability to endure cold and throw oneself in the different service moments were needed in the workshop as we prototyped a customer journey of a bus trip to work at the Arctic Circle. The workshop gave a hands-on experience into the service prototyping environment, that has been developed in the Faculty of Art and Design in the University of Lapland, where the SINCO lab is also located. The prototyping environment was represented in the workshop through a portable, ”light” version of the original lab.

In late 2011 we had a one day workshop for a caravan equipment sales and maintenance service company Reatalo, from Rovaniemi. Our workshop was a part of their bigger project, that aims to renew the interior of their premises.
In Sinco, we took a quick look into their service environment, and by prototyping the existing service journey of their customers we found some keys to prioritize needs for change in the service as well as in the shop layout. Also the new, upcoming interior & shop layout was brought into existence through service prototype with visualizations rendered from a virtual 3D model of the space.

Yritysten mielenkiinnon kohteeksi valikoitui erityisesti Sincon palveluprototypointiympäristö, johon järjestettiin toiminnan täytteinen tutustumistilaisuus kahdelle eri ryhmälle.
Sincon esittely yrityksille on aina ollut perinteisistä kalvosulkeisista poikkeava toimintamuotoinen pikaproto vaihtelevista aiheista, joka on vedetty projektin oman henkilökunnan voimin.
